So, it’s my 35th birthday.
As one kind soul reminded me today, it’s halfway to 70, which is nearly 100, which is as good as dead. Charming.
But it has been a fun day. Having holidays on your birthday is a good thing - I got a sleep in, then opened some pressies before breakfast. We took […]
OK, so yesterday the boys and I head out to the shops to pick up a few things and give my wife a bit of time off. We didn’t have lot to pick up, just some socks and a new dust-buster, plus we planned to have some mornng tea in the food court and look […]
I say:
coughing fits
dry reaching
vomitting
dizziness
sore eyes
headaches
fever
constant tiredness
no energy
And enough antibiotics to kill an elephant…
And sleeping for nearly 18 hours a day.
Hence, no posting for a while. I’ll put the notes from “Dealing with Sexual Sin in our Past” up as soon as I feel a bit better…

I’ve been watching the death toll from the Indon earthquake rise rapidly this week. Each time I see or hear a report I think that surely the people of this region have had enough natural disasters. Leave a rude message in her inbox and […]

I was sitting in the food court at Box Hill this morning, sharing a chocolate milk and some biscuits with my not-yet-three-year- old son Thomas.
Suddenly a look of intense concentration came over his face. With a mouthful of biscuit, he looked at me and said,
“Daddy, are we blessed?”
“Yes Thomas. We are very blessed.”
“Daddy. Did God […]
Just when you think it couldn’t get any worse than this weekend….
It was a holiday we had been looking forward to for ages. After the worry of sick parents and children and hectic schedules all round, we simply needed some time away to be together and do some fun stuff as a family. So we […]
It was one of those weekends that had been highlighted in our calendar for months. We had tickets to see The Lion King in Melbourne and had planned a nice dinner, organised the baby sitters etc. All was good.
Then my two sons and I came down with something. Jared had a snotty nose and loss […]
I was wrestling with Thomas on the floor over the weekend, when he suddenly stopped and looked at my head. With a look of confusion, he patted my bald spot and asked sincerely, “Where’s you top-hair gone Dad?”
It’s a question I’ve been asking for years….
