I came so close today to doing something for the first time ever in my freelancing cartooning career. I almost met a client face to face!

The client happened to be one of the major universities in my city, and as I was driving past today, offered to drop in to pick up payment for the job I had completed.

As it turned out, the person I was dealing with wasn’t there, but her assistant was. A lovely lady who happily handed over the cash and thanked me for my efforts.

So while it wasn’t actual face to face contact with a client, it was human contact with someone her worked with one. Which is the most I’ve had in twelve years of freelancing!

The Internet is a great thing for us freelancers!
