ScribeFire
Published July 1st, 2007 in Misc StuffOK, so I finally got around to changing to Firefox and am using the ScribeFire add-on to do the blog stuff. But it doesn’t have a spell checker!!
Arrgggghhh.
Apparently Firefox is meant to have this automatic spell thingo, but even though I’m using the latest version, it doesn’t seem to do anything. Anyone know if there’s a check box or something somehwhere that I should be using?
Try flock- it’s based on the mozilla engine but has some nifty blogging tools built in.

They are coming out with the 1.0 release in the next couple of weeks. I’m hanging out for it!

no Keith!
He’s taken long enough to get to firefox… don’t confuse him any more!
Matt: when you make a spelling mistake is it underlined? Or: you might have it set to en-AU without having the Australian dictionaries installed. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/browse/type:3 to download more dictionaries. http://lifehacker.com/software/featured-firefox-extension/automatically-change-your-dictionary-language-with-dictionary-switcher-265214.php will change your dictionary according to the page you visit- but you may not need that.
hope that helps
Steady girl. I resemble that comment….
Nope, nothing is underlined at the moment. I’ll give what you suggest a try.
Sometime.
It’s official. Alison is the Geekdom Queen!
All works like a charm now. Thanks titanium!
