I am about 65 lbs overweight now, and I am 68 yrs old. I checked my weight record which I keep and I lost a pitiful 2 lbs in each of the last 2 years, and about 3lbs so far this year. So would you say that would be an habitual or besetting sin, (gluttony) and if so, which one, habitual or besetting? I also worry a lot. Not good, I know. I have a question which is this. Is habitual sin the same as the besetting sin that is addressed in Heb 12:1? And can a Christian have more than one habitual sin in his life? I tend to doubt my salvation, so these things concern me.
