Site Overhaul

Now that things are ’slowing down’ a little around here, I’ve started giving my site an overhaul in preparation for a new blog that is more cartoon/cartoonist related.
I get a lot of questions along the lines of “what sort of software do you use?” or, “How do you scan a picture in?” so rather than […]

Does it seem a bit strange to anybody else that we, Australia, land of eternal sunshine, talk about going to nuclear power instead of being more intentional about solar alternatives?

FULL-TIME chaplains would be installed in government schools to lift religious standards and provide mentoring for students under a plan backed by the federal Education Minister.
Four prominent Liberal MPs are behind the proposal, seen by the Prime Minister and to be discussed in a meeting of Coalition MPs on Tuesday.
Education Minister Julie Bishop strongly supports […]

Sick Sites and Sick People

I’m back ‘at work’ today after a week off battling the chest infection. I’m not totally over it all just yet, but the thought of another day in bed was driving me nuts!
It looks like my site has been fixed properly now too. It seems my host had to contact some people in the USA […]

State Youth Games

Our team is on it’s way…it will be colder than anything they’ve ever experienced, but the satisfaction of beating some Church of Christ butt will be well worth it. Here’s hoping we well and truly bury Phil and Dan and their team of Northern try hards…;)
Sadly, my chest infection has seen me side-lined this year. […]

So […]

Site woes

Looks like the mattglover.com went down in sympathy with me. Sorry if you’ve been trying to access stuff over the last few days and have had no luck. I think all is well now.
I’m feeling a bit better now too.

I say:
coughing fits
dry reaching
vomitting
dizziness
sore eyes
headaches
fever
constant tiredness
no energy
And enough antibiotics to kill an elephant…
And sleeping for nearly 18 hours a day.
Hence, no posting for a while. I’ll put the notes from “Dealing with Sexual Sin in our Past” up as soon as I feel a bit better…

An interesting gathering happened in Sydney over the last few days. A whole bunch of Christian cartoonists, illustrators and artists came together to talk about how their craft can be used to tell the story of Jesus, amongst other cartoonery type issues.
I would have dearly loved to have gone, but it was never going to […]

A Life Well Lived

I’ve been watching the death toll from the Indon earthquake rise rapidly this week. Each time I see or hear a report I think that surely the people of this region have had enough natural disasters. I also see many, many people from other countries dropping everything to go and help. My own denomination just recently have […]
