Sick Sites and Sick People
Published June 13th, 2006 in Misc StuffI’m back ‘at work’ today after a week off battling the chest infection. I’m not totally over it all just yet, but the thought of another day in bed was driving me nuts!
It looks like my site has been fixed properly now too. It seems my host had to contact some people in the USA to fix whatever it was that was wrong - making a bit of a mockery of their “All Australian” claims. Seems like my site is hosted on a US server. Busted big time!
Anyway, it’s back into it. Lots of ideas spinning through my mind over the last week, many of which I look forward to sharing here.

the .com (not .com.au) didn’t mean anything to you?
(i have no idea whether it’s actually always the case, just seems logical to me)
Nah….com domain names can be hosted anywhere. I went for .com becasue it’s a heck of a lot cheaper than .com.au!!!
Call me tight.
yep, that’s right matt, domains can be hosted anywhere, and .com are a better deal than the others.
reminds me- dealing with the people who provide internet to the school I used to work at-
us: “the connection is really REALLY slow.”
them: “what speed tester are you using?”
us: “one from spain”
them: “well of course it’s slow then, it’s far away!”
us: “WHAT!?! It’s the Internet! of course it’s going to be far away!”
heheheh.
Around the world in 5 minutes.
