Reading Blogs
Published April 21st, 2006 in Misc StuffI’ve been keeping track of a number of blogs I like to read by using Bloglines.
Basically, you subscribe to a blog’s feed through the bloglines panel, then when that blog is updated, it is highlighted in bold type in your blog list. I’ve got a bout 25 blogs in my list, so rather than visit each blog individually, I just logon to bloglines and I can see on one screen which blogs have been updated, and read summaries from there.
It’s easy and quick - and FREE!
But it was the first one I heard about and I haven’t bothered to look for anything better. Does anybody use a blog reader (or whatever the techy name is) that’s better than bloglines but still free?

I use Bloglines, cos I’ve got that set up. But I know lots of people use the Google Reader (http://www.google.com/reader) which I’ll probably try out some stage when I’ve got the time to put all my subscriptions in.
Thanks for this Geoff. Didn’t realise Google had this feature. Nice.
Like your blog too.
The more technical word would be an “rss reader” or “rss agregator”
I like the live bookmarks feature of firefox, but that’s a bit simplistic.
That google reader looks cool!
