I completed the one year internship with FORGE last year. The things they present are always thought provoking and challenging - this should be no different. It’s being held at ‘The Factory’, the facility that my community has seen move from a dream to a reality in the last three years…

The world is changing at an incredible rate. The challenge of effective mission in our time demands new thinking about leadership. History shows that people can be great ministers, but poor leaders. We must develop leaders with authentic vision, innovation and creativity.

Not very often do we have the opportunity to interact with and be taught from one of the most innovative and respected leaders and church planters in the world.  Neil Cole has seen around 600 churches started in the last 6 years through his organic leadership network. This  ”Greenhouse” of pioneering leaders has influenced thousands of church leaders across the world.

The Forge Mission Training Network in Victoria is excited to have this unique opportunity to host an incredibly inspiring and practical “HOW to” three-day conference for leaders and pastors who want to network, interact and learn from some of the most innovative practitioners in Australia.   (More info and a brochure have been posted by Phil over at Signposts.) Neil Colewill work through his organic leadership principles to give you valuable tools for pioneering new ministries, missions, congregations and churches.

Being at the Factory in Mitcham, Victoria (the conferences Venue)  will  demonstrate for you the story of one of Melbourne’s most conservative Baptist churches’ transition into a mission shaped church. One  that has seen them sell their building and renovate a factory into a community centre for the neighbourhood, and give them inroads into the community with incredible effectiveness.  The Factory - a community facility provided by MITCHAM BAPTIST CHURCH. Come to the Factory and be inspired, energized, tooled up and equipped for ministry in Australia and beyond.

Forge’s vision is the help birth and nurture mission shaped churches.

Whether you are church planting or are in an established church. If you have  a heart to be “mission shaped” then join the hundreds of other pastors and leaders who from several denominations will be together for three days.  Let us  champion the local church together and challenge each other to dream and pioneer the shape of Church that God desires and will reach people.
