From todays’ Age Newspaper…

Today’s lesson comes from the gospel according to iPod.

Users of Apple’s trendy device will be able to take the Bible on the move when an audio version, which also scrolls Scripture across the iPod screen, goes on sale in February.

“We believe this new format will make it more convenient and desirable for people to find time to either listen to or read God’s word,” said Mark Hunt, vice-president and publisher of new media for Zondervan, the world’s largest Bible publisher.

“Research shows that the younger generation feels the Bible is relevant to their lives but they aren’t engaging with it for a variety of reasons.”

The new Bible, put together by Zondervan and Talking Panda, an iPod software developer, will be on sale at Apple stores and in Christian bookstores.

The product, which wits have dubbed the Book of Jobs, after Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, will cost $US49.99 ($A66.14).

It comes on a single DVD which will let users install audio and text files on their iPod, then choose a chapter and verse to read.
